Help: 1980 Honda 110 Rebuild

I'll admit that my mechanical skills are severely limited and I need my 3 wheeled limo rebuilt.
Anybody know of an honest and capable mechanic to do this for me in the Lafayette area?

Need front wheel completely broken down and the split rim resealed
Broken pull rope
It sputters and pops real bad
Transmission is out. Bike was running fine then just stopped going forward. Not sure if it's the clutch or if there is more to it?

You will need an o-ring to do this. Better option is to verify there are not stickers through the tire and install an inner tube.

Broken pull rope
Easy fix.

Probably needs carb rebuilt and a spark plug.

Does the 1980 have a hi-lo range selector on the back right side of the engine? it could have slipped into neutral.

Didn't think about this. Will check.
I know I can order the carb kit, plug wiring harness, rope and spring, and brake handle online.
Should I just buy the kits and look for DYI videos for the change outs? I'm handy just never did it before....think I can get it done?

Some of those are above my pay grade

Seems like the lever might be on the left side instead now that i think about it harder.

If my recommendations turn out to be correct the only real tricky part of the project will be rebuilding the carb.
The front wheel will be a pain in the arse but not 'tricky' per se. I can't emphasize enough that an inner tube is the way to go here.
if the trans / auto clutch is gone then all bets are off.

The lever its in the left side and it was still engaged. Not good.

did you try shifting it to the other setting to see if it would work in that position?...
FWIW, if I was in that area I would help you to work on it in a heartbeat...thinking about a 110 brings back memories of my youth...

Thanks Spankum.
I can't start it but I tried pushing and pulling it around while shifting it in both high and low gear and the gears are not catching.

Are you able to shift up and down through the 4 gears?
By not catching you mean the bike is rolling like it is still in neutral?
Posted on 9/10/14 at 7:37 pm to weagle99
Yes weagle. You know how it's tougher to roll when its in gear?
I had mrscrotiger work the shift while I pushed her around. It never got harder or easier to push.
I could hear a sound similar to that of when the gears engage but they wouldn't catch.

Could the chain be broken? IIRC the rear axle is encased in a black cover. Chain could be broken and laying in the bottom maybe?
Just thinking out loud about simple stuff.

You can probably buy a new carb for about the same price as having someone rebuild that one.

Which would you recommend?

I believe we have a winner. Looks like chain is off the sprocket.
