A commissioner should have the same knowledge about what players are doing off the field as a coach should about what is going on in his own locker room with his DC being the ringleader?

when video of the incident exists and the NFL likely had it but denied it, it's a little different, wouldn't you say?

When the case is presented to him and his job is to gather the facts? Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd say yes.

ETA: Nothing is going to happen to Goodell though.

When that commissioner has supposedly done a full investigation and the commissioner already knew the guy pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and has final say in the punishment to be handed?

If that commissioner has made himself judge, jury, and executioner on player punishment, hell yes he should know.
