I love my Saints to the moon and back, but if I were an NFL running back, Sean Payton is the last coach I would play for.

When I see Ingram run I feel like he's going to explode someday. You can just see it in his eyes he wants to spike the ball and every time he gets a big run. I like that fire but the dude needs to calm down a level. He looks angry and I like that but he shouldn't be running with fits on the sidelines. Be a team player and you'll get he rock called to you more when the gameplan calls for it. This contract year obviously has him motivated. I like what I see in him. Never seen him run this fast, this healthy or this angry so soon in a season.

IMO, he needs to get more carries until he proves it's not working anymore.

Obviously not. He barely got put in for almost half the game. Got pissed off, then immediately got put back in and went on a tear.

I wish the defense would have played with that kind of ferocity.

I honestly wish they would play him and Thomas more together than splitting between three and four backs.

I was wanting this last year too. People have indicated last year with Sproles, and this year with Pierre, that they tip their hand on the call when they are in the backfield. This is somewhat accurate, but anytime you have two H-backs in the backfield, you are reducing your down-field ability because you are down a receiver.

I don't have any, zero, nada issues the way CSP used the f@cking backs.
A lull?
C'mon how many points did we score? Should be enough to win a damn NFL game on the road.
The offence was great except for two plays by Brees and Colston that took points off the board.

I wonder where the real issue lies?

Its not the RB's.

Guess you just missed the entire third quarter, where we threw up a goose egg.

It's not the RB's but we have two that are obviously playing better and they should be playing more. Mark should have gotten the rock more in the first half.

Yeah right.
We should have scored 50 points in the 3rd.
We suck.
Score every drive if CSP would just use his players like TD wants.

I'm not blaming the offense for anything, merely discussing one aspect of it. With that said, Sean Payton's own words, a shootout loss is on the offense...I don't agree but that's what he said.

I think a more featured role for ingram would add to the already crazy success we had on offense. why is that so offensive to people

Any particular reason you're being a jackass about this?

We ran 10 plays to the Falcons 21. They got 2 TDs and we had a 3 and out and an interception. We blew a 2 possession lead and gave them all the momentum back. Most importantly, we gave our defense no rest.

The third quarter was an abortion for our offense.

ETA: And please don't take this as me blaming this loss on the offense.

I did not see much of a difference between a rested defense and a defense with no rest.

With how they played they should have just let the Falcons score on the first play of the drive after the lead.

Of course, but I think we can all agree it wouldn't have hurt to keep them off the field a little longer

More to the we had a lull cause CSP didn't use MI right.
Lots of things go into "Lulls".
What if I told you their DB's held on two possible big plays that were not called.
And what if I told you Brees called the wrong play CSP sent in that led to a punt.
What if Cooks ran the wrong route that cost us a 1st down.
Etc etc.
My point is that it was not the offence or the damn 3rd quarter but a def that was lost from the end of the 1st half to the end of the game that cost us.

Not how CSP used MI.

Sorry if I was a jackhole.

and what if everyone was a dick when you wanted to discuss those things

LB has a point, you're a bit of a prick over stupid shite just because you don't agree with it.

If you don't think this played a part in us losing, I have nothing that will help you.
