I deal with a lot of shrimpers as my customers (not restaurant or service industry). I support them by never buying foreign.

This is a great website for local processors and where to find american caught shrimp, specifically gulf shrimp.

Grocery stores i sell to, do buy Florida pinks. But most buy Black Tigers from Indo and Bangladesh.

And the prawns are from Vietnam or one of the other locations. Half the time it's one of the 3, supply and demand, who can fill our supply.

Chinese is always the one country they try not to buy from, but Chinese Crawfish are a lot cheaper than La frozen crawfish. So they bring in the Chinese crap to satisfy the demand, or they just buy it from the other supplier who sells them seafood/fish
