How does your league score touchdown passes?

My league scores touchdown passes as 4 pts each.
Is this normal?

It's normal and even typical nowadays. I think it's the automatic assignment on most sites. It evens out the value of qb's with other positions. My league still uses 6 pt passing touchdowns.

WTF?
QB passing td is 6 pts in the league so why not in fantasy?
That's why you can start 2 running backs plus flex but yet only 1 QB.

For each TD we do 6pts per TD plus .5 x the number on the receivers jersey.

If you have a problem with it then discuss it with your other league members and change it for next year. It's a little late to go chaning things now.

You can do a 2 qb league if you want. And yeah, a TD is worth 6 points in the league but in standard fantasy 10 points are given out between the qb and receiver for a touchdown. So it's already inflated.

For the first time ever I'm in a league this season with 4-point passing TDs. It's always been 6 before, I think dropping it to 4 is pretty dumb, but I didn't set the rules in that league.
TDs are worth 6 points, I think it should be 6 regardless.

Ours is 4 points for a TD and 1 point per 50 yards. I think it's kinda lame, and the only reason is because the commish apparently got dominated last year because he had like Ryan and Brees/Manning were dropping 50 points on him.
O well.

That's lame as hell. I have one guy in my league that will only agree to league changes if he thinks it will directly help him based off of what happened last year or what is happening now. He has no concern with any ideas of fairness. It pisses me off.

well fantasy gives out at least 6 points per TD. then they give out 10 for a passing Td in this case. so this point is bad.
also, 6 points for a passing TD is dumb and inflates QBs way too much. they are already the top scorers with 4 point TDs.

6 pts - 0-9 yds
9 pts - 9-39 yds
12 pts - 40+ yds

Our league does 5 points per TD for QBs and then .5 PPR. I think it is a good compromise and heightens the value of a quarterback but doesn't make it insane. We also give points for returns.
For example, here are the spreads between the 1st and 10th QB compared to the other positions.
QB
#1. Peyton Manning-461.5
#10. Nick Foles-280.4
Difference of 181.1
(From 2(Brees) to 11(Roethlisberger) is 111.1)
RB
#1. Jamaal Charles-345
#10. Fred Jackson-212.8
#20. Zac Stacy-170.4
Differences of 132.2; 174.6
WR
1. Antonio Brown-281.7
10. Desean Jackson-232.9
20. T.Y. Hilton-188.9
Differences of 48.8; 92.8

So should receivers and QBs each get 3 points for a passing TD? That way a TD gets 6 points no matter what!
An arbitrary 4 points is just pointless. So what if QBs are inflated too much, each team has one, so plan accordingly. Maybe QBs should be the top scorers? In real life if the league decided to completely redraft, who are you going to draft first, a quarterback or running back?

In a standard scoring 6-point TD league last season Manning last year was above and beyond normal, then Brees, then top RB Jamaal Charles. 55 TDs though is just unheard of, he was the top scorer in any format, and for a season like that I think he should be above and beyond the next guys. Charles had 19 TDs combined, not even half of what Manning did.
After that, actually Dalton, Rivers, Newton, Luck, and Stafford were all grouped pretty tight. If Peyton repeats last season's performance, sure, but you're just as likely to get big numbers from the middle tier QBs.
In that league Brees always goes early, but he's the Saints QB and most of the league is Saints fans.
It still boils down to value over the next QB, and that's going to be the same whether it's 6 or 4.
