It's a city designed to perpetuate the racket. The Cowboys are Arlington's mealticket, so they bend over backwards to screw the consumer and help Jerry out... or get their cut, too.
EDITED TO ADD: You could pay $29 and get standing room tickets that have NO VIEW OF THE FIELD, but a seat in the 400 section ranges from $125 to $450. that's right, a seat in the top level can cost you $450.
I can't wait to see how much tickets are going to cost to the college football championship game there.
Hell, I think the face value of Cotton Bowl tickets is around $125. That's insane.

Bill Simmons has written about this -- it's getting to the point where Joe Fan just goes to one or two games a year. Why bother shelling out all the money and putting up with all the BS with traffic and parking, when you can stay at home and watch the game on a nice high def TV? And you can enjoy all the beer and food in your fridge...
The next time the economy goes in the crapper, it could be bad for pro sports team attendance. The bubble of corporate support that fills the stadiums and luxury boxes may pop.
