Anyone going to check out Tulane's home opener against Georgia Tech?
I'm stoked to finally see some decent football being played on campus.
Unfortunately, I don't think tulane is ready for the this league.
Georgia Tech clobbers tulane :(

Tech by 14
ETA: It's cool they got the two old SEC members in the first game.

Tulane needs to recruit better. It's going to be a long year for them.

Tech wins in alot closer game than it probably should be

Tech will win, but it shouldn't be a blowout. CJ has recruited better and the new stadium and conference will help with that. Problem so far is he really can't redshirt many freshmen each year since they have to play right away because they are better than the upperclassmen he inherited.

I hadn't even thought about this. That is pretty interesting. I would love to make it out to a game sometime this season. Perhaps once I move back down to the NOLA area.

I'll be there.
Tulane has a decent shot to win, but I'm not sure they can overcome their inexperience.

Aside from kicker, there's talent all over the field
We gave Tulsa the game. That was headed for a beatdown

We got a new kicker yesterday, too.

I don't see how this would be a bad thing. Young guys getting lots of experience pays off heavily when the cycle is complete. Especially for a program like Tulane which will always have 4 year players.

no shite, that guy was awesome...badie just ripped another 60 yard run...he was equally impressive
fumble on the 10 driving to go up 28-7 before half
next drive, DB has an easy play/pick on the ball and mistimes it by a cm, lucas TD...21-14
HALF
picked their qb twice, but also dropped FIVE MORE interceptions...seriously, it was nuts
the o-line wasn't getting whipped, they didn't know who to protect and Tulsa brought the blitz all night
stupid penalties to extend Tulsa TD drives on 3rd down.
tons of bullshite UC/roughing penalties, another one on a 3rd down on a scoring drive
Tulane did everything to give that game away
Tanner Lee was awesome (first start ever) Sherman badie had about 250 yards on the ground and a couple of TDs. Xavier Rush was awesome
On defense, we play more disciplined, we win
We make a chipshot/xp FG late in the 4th after badie's last big run, we win.
We make one of the 6 missed opportunities on the ball, we win
Tulane definitely looked like a team not covering the details, but in no way were they outmatched in terms of talent...quite the opposite. "gave them the game" is a stupid saying, so let me rephrase. Tulsa capitalized on a million Tulane mistakes to win. Tulsa was not the more talented team
Their only bright spot was Lucas and their defensive scheme. Lineman weren't getting beat, they didn't know who to block
we can absolutely beat ga tech this weekend. Last time I checked, megatron was in the D
BOTTOM LINE: C.J. needs to cover the little things and Tulane is in for a great year.

anyone who watched that game and is in panic mode or thinks Tulane has talent issues is certifiably insane.
I started my freshman year in 07, and this is the best team we've had by an almost infinite amount.
Tulsa has always had big offensive days and has taken us to the woodshed over and over. We beat them last year, we should have beaten them this year...Johnson has this going in the right direction. Last year you could see a big jump in talent, this year another big jump.

I'm a life long Tulane fan but I don't think that they will win a game this year. Hopefully they prove me wrong!!!
