I would have thought because he did well academically in his undergraduate and then performed well on his LSAT. When it came to tie-breakers, then using diversity.

Overall, for the 99% of applicants, the standards are much higher and more difficult than average obviously. But for the few exceptions they make, they're totally off the wall.
