Was having a discussion would some retard OTer who was trying to convince me that mdma disrupts the blood brain barrier. My argument; it probably does if you are an avid(daily) user ,but if you used it recreationally (one a month) then you're probably fine.

Disrupt? It certainly passes the blood-brain barrier, that's why it has the serotonergic effect.

I don't know much about it. I just know it acts on serotonin receptors (I think, or maybe it causes the release of serotonin, but either way, serotonin), and I saw one small excerpt in a textbook from a study done on mice that were given something like double the recreational dose of MDMA and it caused a change in amount of neurons/synapses in I forget what area of the brain that was still observed like 5 years out, so it appeared permanent. No changes in brain function were found related to the damage though.

I could google and get some more info, but I'm lazy, do it yourself.

Sweet, I get to use this.....

I'd watch out what you post on here about drugs and such, and especially on facebook. The FBI is cracking down on dope-users like yourself, and they're not fricking around. Have fun in jail, junky

I don't know if it does permanent damage to the blood brain barrier?

Every drug passes thru your blood brain barrier. The better they do it the higher you get.

Heroin is better than any other opiates at getting thru you blood brain barrier.

Personally I think XTC dumps so much Serotonin in your brain when your on it that extended use does do some damage to your Serotonin Receptors.jmho

Latest study says that MDMA is good for the brain bc it initiates cell growth. DEA is trying to suppress this study.
