LOS ANGELES.
I lived in NYC, UES and was paying $1800 to share a 2 BD/2BA 1200sqft apartment, freezing my arse off for 7 months out of the year and not having a car sucked arse.
If i am going to pay $1800 for an apartment, i rather be an apartment with this amazing view, great weather, beautiful women, and a car drive away from doing whatever activity i desire (hiking, surfing, snowboarding in the winter).
Ended up moving from NYC to SoCal this past year and haven't looked back since. The beach is 2 streets down or a 4 min walk. You can see it in the 1st picture right below the palm trees.
