Exactly.

Then bitch and complain if we lose to a more difficult team and can't win the NC.

Think trailer trash bama fans who should be paying for tickets care if Bama is 7-0 at home against teams like SHSU? Nope.

An easy schedule is key to a NC run....

There are 30+ D1 teams that are big names that aren't much fear of a loss for us. I named 10 or so in a previous post. The reason they schedule these shite teams is because we don't have to play at their stadium thus we have more home games thus we make more money.

No excuse for Sam Houston St.

You are completely right. And I don't disagree with an easy schedule means easy run to the playoffs especially in the SEC. HOWEVER, it is just as easy to beat a decent NMST or SHST as it is to beat other schools who are more recognizable. Indiana, UCON, Kansas, Colorado, Wake Forest, BC.

I guarantee they would be down for home and homes if you took on teams in the power 5 that are aching to take that next step up.

Not a new topic to this board or unique to LSU but today's WSJ shows how students are a major reason for empty seats in many stadiums

With TV getting better and better, the TV experience is actually becoming preferable to sitting in the stadium for almost every game, particularly for the early games of the season when it is Africa hot outside. Combine that with the following: (1) a lot of our home games are against "cupcake" opponents; (2) the average college student can't drink inside the stadium (or faces serious penalties if caught); and (3) the restrictions on celebrations and the overall feeling that, as a student, you can't be as loud and crazy as you want to be (or face serious repercussions if you're caught); and you have a recipe for falling attendance numbers, not just from students, but across the board.

If Alleva is able to get all of our games played at night at home, then the attendance will likely go up from students.

Well...according to Wisky ath. director Barry Alvarez....they were more than willing to do a home/home ! Aleva, AGAIN went foir the $ grab neutral site games !
Once in a while a big season opening neutral site is fine...but NOT 80 % of the time. Home attendance suffers due to crappy OOC games= simple !!!

Exactly. It's too corporate these days. Nowhere near as much fun as college football back in the 90's.

You must not enjoy winning if you prefer the 90s.

This...PLUS, show hi-lites of other big games during all the extended "dead times"...AND show them on the FULL video boards....how difficult is this to accomplish ??????
I understand GA has been doing this for some time....is ANYONE paying attention at LSU ?

It's easy to say that now. Throw a bone to your fan base while simultaneously cutting down another program you are about to play. I believe it about as much as I believe in sasquatch... which is only a little.

Link?

And it's funny that you miserable fricks give the benefit of the doubt to everyone BUT LSU's administration. Wisonsin's AD says something? Must be true, huh!?

Then again, I sypmathize with the fact that you can't pay the note on your trailer without the scalped ticket money coming in. Prayers sent.

I'm sure it's been a million times, but it really is because our best game outside of Alabama is in Houston this year

LSU-Houston and LSU-Dallas are taking applications next summer

It's funny how people cannot put together common sense. I guess its too hard for some people to understand that LSU has a huge homefield advantage and more often than not, LSU will win at home. Our stadium is known for making it incredibly difficult for other team to win at. Other teams want to win a National Title too. It does not help losing week one to LSU on national tv so they dont always want to come here. I'd be more in favor of playing in state schools like ULL or ULM. At least you'll get local fans from around the state to come in. People who support playing SHSU as well as a schedule featuring Ohio State, Texas, etc are equally retarded. The fact is that it is difficult to get in and out of campus on gameday and it has become a more social event. Lower parking prices, allow beer sales,(I go to ULL where they serve beer at games, I promise the world won't end if you sell beer at a football game on a college campus) add in wifi.
