Only if covered, many outdoor kitchens I've seen are not covered or they have a pergola over them. Eventually weather exposure will cause you to replace the grill if not covered.

I'm having one installed right now. It's under a covered area but right by the edge of it so it will get wet when it rains some. It's built into a stone kitchen. I'm going to keep a grill cover on it when not in use.
