ESPN - What does Leonard Fournette bring to LSU

Recruiting Nation - “If he can land in a downhill, two-back offense, we see big-time production at the next level.”
ESPN - If that description is accurate, Fournette landed in the right place. No BCS-AQ (automatic qualifying) team ran more often in a two-back set than LSU last season.
ESPN - Les Miles isn’t afraid to use freshmen running backs either. Two years ago, Hill led the team in rushing and set a school freshman record in touchdowns with 12. As the schedule got tougher, Miles rode his freshman more. In LSU’s last seven games – five against ranked opponents - Hill averaged 19.5 carries per game.
Imagine Leonard Fournette getting 19.5 carries or more this year. Opposing teams better bring it!

I think by the end of the year he might be getting 19.5 carries a game.

I think he gets that many carries by the middle of the season. He is going to be too good to not give him the ball.

LSU did not sign a single running back in last year’s recruiting class primarily because of its pursuit of Fournette, so the Tigers should ride their freshman heavily. Over the last two seasons, four different SEC freshmen have rushed for 1,000 yards.
Only one Tiger freshman has rushed for 1,000 yards in a season, Justin Vincent in 2003. That year, Vincent was named most valuable player of LSU’s BCS Championship Game victory over Oklahoma. LSU hopes that Fournette can have a similar impact this season.
"We decided not to take a tailback," LSU head coach Les Miles said at his signing day press conference in February. "We will need a great one, one of those guys who has great speed, and ball skills and can run with power, and I'm thinking of him right now."
This tells me he gets at least 1,000 yards this season.

He gets at least 1000 yards this season unless he gets injured.

Miles has had the Fournette plan in effect for several years now.

Les has placed almost all of his investment with Leonard, Les knows!

Don't ignore Darrell Williams. We will have four capable backs this year, and I expect them all to get significant carries. RB's wear down if they're overused.

Indeed.
I firnky believe that LF must be on the field as a blocker in passing downs in order to keep the defenses from keying in on him just like they used to do to Trindon and R Shep. If LF doesn't pick up on his blocking duties and is only put on the field to carry the ball then they will always key on him. This never helps no matter who is running the ball for you.

And the Rant will want Les fired. "why aren't we passing more"?

Or Magee and Hilliard for that matter. Our running backs will be bringing the pain this season.

“He caught a pass in 7-on-7 and was running away from guys who have been around here two and three years,” Magee said. “It took me about seven seconds to figure out what we had.”
Go ahead and try to slow down this hype train.
It might just run right by you.

They won't all get significant carries unless needed. The main runner, or at least him and his backup, will dictate carries for the 3rd and 4th RBs. I mean, I think you guys forget that we have two dual threat QBs also.
