If Romney runs again he would have a great chance based on that alone (see: Jindal/Blanco). I just don't know if he is running again or not.

The born again Christians will vote for him this time?

They stayed home last time bc of the Mormon thing. Romney ran a stronger campaign than McCain, did much better in debates AND Obama was way more vulnerable yet Romney still got fewer votes than McCain.

If Romney runs he would be the establishment candidate and would keep Jeb out...

Rand and Cruz would likely be fighting for 2nd place if Romney runs.

I don't like the fact that Huckabee's name keeps popping up as a potential candidate but if Romney runs I don't think he will get much traction.

Don't discount this. The disaster that is (and will continue to be) Obama's second term will be a big factor.

Only he has the voice that can confront Hillary and brand her as Obama's 3rd term, and make it stick. His side will have to keep this terrible thought out there for the bulk of 2016. He will need to stay on message and not try to please all people. She will be ruthless. He will need to be teflon and Reagan cool.

Do you think he's had long enough to figure out his tax plan? Or are we just gonna have more "pick a number" Romney?

As much as people are unhappy with Obama, the Republican party is twice as toxic. The only way a Republican can win the presidency is if someone puts a muzzle on the most extreme elements and a 3rd party like the Green or Ralph Nader can split off enough of the vote to sneak a Republican in.

Romney is smart, but he speaks from memorization and not from his heart. Just a smart talking head. Rand Paul goes toe-to-toe with anybody and won't back down. He remains faithful to fundamentals.

Rand Paul - Ben Carson would be a killer ticket.

My greatest hope would be a Trey Gowdy type of individual who could care less about getting re-electing (Rand would fit) and more for righting the ship in 4-years.... a sacrificial lamb of sorts.
