If I'm gonna be shooting a 3-1/2" its gonna be a 10ga. Heck my Gold 10ga kick less than any 3-1/2" 12ga I've ever shot. Then again as heavy as it is it should kick less

I can honestly say I've never shot a 3-1/2" 12ga at a duck. Always did fine with 3" shells so I never felt the need. Although I do know some folks are firm believers in them.
