Booked a really cheap flight for the LSU/Wisconsin game. Paid for extra legroom. I know it's probably going to be shitty, and I have to bring my own drinks, ect.

Does anybody on here have experience flying with Spirit Airlines? And if so, any tips?

Did you see all the fees?

They charge you for your check on(each way)
Charge you to print your boarding pass(each way)
Charge you to sit near someone(if you are traveling with friend/family)...each way

So that cheap flight might end up being the same cost as a regular flight.

Oh and I've never flown with them. Heard too many horror stories about them. No thanks.

Based on what I've heard from others, they suck harder than a hooker with emphysema. Prayers sent.

I checked the fees. Booking last minute it was still almost $100 cheaper round trip after the extra fees.

It's not ideal but I have $5k in tuition due this month so I've gotta save what I can. Just going to take some xanax and hope it doesn't suck too bad

If you're staying with your parents, they should have a lot of your clothes ready so I would pack lightly and try to fit as much stuff as you can into a booksack or a small duffel bag. That's what airlines like southwest and spirit excel at and can get really cheap in that regard.

I'm staying with my parents, I haven't lived there in over 5 years

I hear you though. My SO and I are going to just check one bag and use her purse as our free small personal item

I flew New Orleans to GB in Houston last week without any problems. I didn't have any luggage though, but it was as easy as ever. They were $120 cheaper than anyone else

frick Spirit Airlines. They're the Comcast of the sky.

And I love flying, too. That's how shitty they are.

My buddy did this and they declared her purse as too big (she's a TX girl and they carry those big ones) and charged for that as a carry on.
