Ratings.
I just spoke with one of my customers who lives there. I asked him if it was as bad as the media says it is.
From what he told me, it's being extremely sensationalized. He said there were maybe a group of 50 people protesting aggressively, and when they dispersed, they proceeded to loot, set things on fire, etc... The remainder of the people seen were just spectating.
He said he has zero issue getting around town, and very rarely, sees any major disturbances as he's going about his day to day business around town.
Take that fwiw.
