Review:
SPOILERS
Most of the jokes work (some of the good ones may fall flat to a non-Brit audience)
Good beginning, slow middle, good end
The arrow making the ship fly and then it dying in orbit was really, really stupid.
IMO, should have been a few episodes later (especially re: Clara's thoughts on the Doctor).
Nice attack on the sonic (kind of ruined by the scene before it at the contest)
Tone was jarring
Third best outfit for Clara of her run (beaten only by Asylum and Cold War, IMO)
Will surprise people how active Capaldi is
Above average ep, but worst of the season so far.

Hilarious episode. It was a delight to watch and rewatch. Lots of self-aware humor to the series as a whole. They intentionally made it over the top campy to make you side with the Doctor and his suspicions. I loved it.

Agreed. But in an otherwise silly and campy episode I didn't care much.

I agree, I laughed out loud at Clara's line about the screwdriver. I too thought the use at the contest was ridiculous on first viewing, but on rewatch realized he didn't make just some arrow or a target explode, but either his homing device or an explosive he had placed in he homing arrow.

I have liked them all so it is tough to say. If you don't like it then:

Disagree. Best episode so far. First time I really got a feel for who Capaldi is going to be.
