Just watched it

SPOILERS

At least 13 on-screen exterminations (some with the old x-ray effect)

I found it funny that our argument of the week was the argument of the show

Danny Pink (new male companion) looks to be an interesting character. Very nice setup at the end of the ep from the Doctor

A few legit LOL moments (most in the beginning)

They were obviously going for the feel of "Dalek." I don't think they succeeded, but I'd still say it was a good ep.

I dgaf about the people on the ship. The definite weakness of the ep.

Two sonic-screwdriver-as-magic-wand moments

The "heaven" part was weird and didn't fit the episode. And we can definitely say Moffat lied about there not being a full-season arc.

Verdict: Above average (6-7 out of 10 on first watch)

End Spoilers

Moffat must read this board. I really enjoyed the episode. It definitely had a feel similar to the episode "Dalek," which is my favorite Dalek episode of the new series, and even made an allusion to one of the best lines from it.

And it looks like they will address another argument from this thread in the next episode
quote:

"In a sun-dappled Sherwood forest, the Doctor discovers an evil plan from beyond the stars and strikes up an unlikely alliance with Robin Hood," stated the BBC (via Doctor Who TV). "With all of Nottingham at stake, the Doctor must decide who is real and who is fake. Can impossible heroes really exist?"

Will the Doctor believe that the seemingly mythical Robin Hood is real? Can the famed archer put his trust in a time traveling alien from Gallifrey? According to showrunner Steven Moffat, those questions of trust will lead to a bit of a quarrel between Hood and the Doctor. "With all of Nottingham at stake (and possibly Derby), there's no time for the two adventurers to get into a fight about who is real and who isn't - which is probably why they do very little else!" Moffat told the Radio Time (via Blogter Who).
