Well then, that's pretty strong evidence in favor of the hard drive shitting the bed. If you can completely narrow it down to 100% stability with hard drive unplugged, and consistent shittiness when the hard drive is connected, you pretty much have your answer. unless the SATA controller on the motherboard was causing the problem. That would be unlikely.

Unlikely, but it would definitely be worth trying a different port and cable. I've had one of each go bad.

What's just confusing me is that it will load windows and all.. that's why I thought it Was something else.. but stability happens when its unplugged.. gonna order another one and then send mine off for rma
