I've heard of others with trouble, but only after we had two...just added a third. Haven't turned a bolt on either of the older models (9 or 10 years old).

FP is top notch.. honestly easy to repair if you know the tricks, clean well.
i like Bosch, hate Asko ($850 for some control boards, yes..thats MY price, even more after mark up) I like kitchenaide too.
