You are so invested in your view being right that you're not seeing how your bias has clouded your thought process here.

The matter of the 80s vs today is one of perspective and perception. For many it's worse today while for others it's better. You can't paint with such a broad brush like you're trying to do.

what bias? i used to think the era of my childhood was better. then i learned i was wrong. i already overcame my biases

why? you're trying to control the argument to suit YOUR biases. we can use objective data. there isn't anything wrong with that

what do you use to compare things in life, since you want to ignore objective data?
