Not to start any crap, but do ya'll run navigable waterways with these spotlights always on? I understand they may help you see but a lot of people don't realize it blinds others who may be running around you.

Hell, my own light blinds me half the time. Like someone mentioned, if you aren't close enough to see land, it's actually worse to have lights than not.

I do but I cut it off when I see another boat.

It helps in small bayous a lot, it's not hard to see the banks without a light but it helps see turns and stumps way ahead of time. Mine lights up pretty damn far and the boat with 1 person and no gear can't go any faster than about 26 anyway.

I hate the guys that will run right past you with an ungodly amount of light on their bow aimed right at eye level and not think twice. fricking seeing green blobs floating for the next 10 minutes looking for frogs and can't make out shite
