otherwise you're just trying to make your insignificant opinion seem legitimate. i agree 100% with what another (much older) poster posted about protests today: they're just trying to seem cool and like they have something to say/change

there was a general message. it was a left wing response to the bailouts and general social inequality. it's tough to get too specific when part of the identity is that there are no leaders.

It could have, and i think almost did, turn into a liberal tea party (which is something you've lamented the lack of several times).

there are some people like that. at the end of occupy you saw about 60% of the people were just there to "be seen". but that doesn't mean every protester is like that nor does it necessarily detract from a particular message. I'm sure it was no different back in the day.
