i'll give tuba that he's consistent with this and the Perry thing. he truly believes that what people did in the past should not be held against against them when dealing with current events.

Nothing that Brown did prior to the event gives the policeman the right to murder him. Everybody agrees with that, at least I hope they do.

But Brown's past does go to his(Brown's) state of mind as the incident unfolded.

If he had just committed a crime and a cop stopped him, it would explain why he acted the way the cops said he id. If he had harmed others prior to the event with the cop, it would also lead me to believe he was a violent person.

None of this gives anyone the license to kill, but it might go to explaining Brown's actions that day.

Sure, but did the police murder him? That has not been determined. The killing may have been justified by the circumstances. If Brown posed an imminent threat to the police officer performing his duties, then the police officer had a legal right to defend himself. A police officer killing someone while acting in his own defense is not murder. The issue that needs to be determined is whether the police officer's belief he was acting in self-defense was reasonable in the circumstances. If it was reasonable, then the killing was not murder.
