Know how I know you've never been to a gun show? Because they RUN BACKGROUND CHECKS. Some shows go as far as getting someone pre-cleared when they enter so that they can make any purchase they want without having to wait on the Feds.
The "gun show loophole", as it is referred to, actually refers to private sales where the individuals know each other and would have an idea of whether someone would pass a background check.
