You're talking about a 4 hour drive each way. Youn won't have much time to do anything except admire the view and maybe see some exhibits in the visitor center.

If it was me, I'd skip Vegas and go to the Grand Canyon. Although even if you do that, rafting is booked up months if not years in advance.


ETA: Rafting there is not like other places. It's a multi-day, high adventure, bucket list type activity.

I know, the tours usually pick up at 6 30/ 7:30 and bring you back ay 9 ish.

And something that I've heard you have to plan months to nearly a year in advance.
