He did on the 2nd TD. I watched him for a good 5 min and he was all over him. Then after the decent kick return he went back for more.

It even looked like Graham was back talking him. One of the o-lineman had to get between them.

Graham was probably telling him WR's don't dunk on the goal posts but TE's do.

It sort of seems that Jimmy is reveling in his own super stardom. He needs to have some humility. This is a team sport after all.

Ding ding ding!!! This exactly. Regardless what anyone thinks of the rule, this was all a self serving childish act of indignation. It's selfish and he needs to grow up and be a better team mate. This talk of it's only the preseason is garbage, because what you practice and do now will carry over into the regular season. Graham needs to get over himself and accept the rule for what it is.

You should find some way to get word to Graham to use this line if he ever does it again.

The solution was to make it an ejection if the goal post is brought off balance. Safety issue justifies that.

I know and at the time I was thinking JG could pretty much tell him to frick off ... what can CSP do .... cut him , not play him ....The NFL can suspend his arse at some point, which is what it should do.

The NFL could suspend him if it continues, and it should do that. And the Saints could suspend him without pay. After all, what did he contribute in the playoffs last year?

he would have NEVER done it in a regular season game.

I bet Jimmy asked him if it was ok to do in the preseason and Sean said yes

With the kickoffs moved forward and Morestead's leg, I would have zero problem with him doing it every single time just to stick it to Goodell.

Some gems from the comments:

So… Payton is more upset about this than Bountygate?

Oh wow bringing up something that happened almost 3 years ago.

Yes, because the saints are real stickers about the rules and playing fair.

Such mad very butthurt

Uh oh….Graham had better watch out…his team is known to put bounties on those who go against the grain!

Out of context, I don't have a problem with Graham doing it in a preseason game. But last night was an orgy of yellow washcloths and when you combine the excessive celebration flags with the other 2 or 3 penalties that Graham got, he should have just dropped it.

Pretty much. I laughed at the first one. The second one was dumb. Dude needs to have some self awareness. You can see your coach is agitated already about the flags.

because you equating other penalties carrying over to the regular season included Jimmy Graham dunking the ball on the goal posts in the regular season are the same thing?

c'mon, you can't be that dumb.
