I am disappointed that you dolts on this board are not seeing the bigger picture in this event.

That the police, who acted with excessive force (killed an unarmed dude), have access to machinery that would make the Russian seperatists in Ukraine envious.

That is the true takeaway from Missouri. Not that another inner city youth robbed a store and got killed. That happens with so much regularity that we have become desensitized to the daily fact. It's the response of the police that should be highlighted.

You hate the police and want to smoke weed without fear of the police ... we get it.

There is not enough information to know whether or not this is a true statement. If he attacked the cop and reached for his gun, the shooting was justified.

Just about everyone on this board has a problem with this.

If this is what you take away from this thread, you must never visit the poli- board? There was an article just a few days ago about the militarization of the police force, and on regular intervals, cops are routinely called out here for overreaching.

Yeah, that ranks right up there with my concern for how my farts might be smelling tomorrow.

Uh the "dolts" on this board regularly call out the police for excessive force and over militarization. The story started with that discussion here (see SFPs post history) then shifted to the racial discussion as the media narratives all pivoted that way.

It is starting to look like there was a massive overreaction to this event, sadly split right down racial lines just like the Martin/Zimmerman trial.
