you're arguing against notre dame being elite. no one is saying that.
you can be relevant without being elite. if people are talking about you and voting you high, you are relevant.
if anything, the subjectivity of the polls makes the case for relevancy even stronger.

I'm just saying there is a huge difference in media relevancy (ND clearly has) and actual on field relevancy.
