And I think this isn't necessarily irrelevant, but it's a very weak ancillary point. Very few people, imo, would pass a "choir boy" test. I hate the term "innocent". When I defend a client in a criminal matter, I don't want the judge or jury to see the person, but the action. The actions are what determine guilty or not guilty.
We shouldn't be looking at who Brown was, but rather what he did at that particular moment. Did his actions justify the police taking his life? That's the question.
