Those will catch nesting catfish. Screen on one side and a funnel on the other. This time of the year you can make a trap out of anything a catfish will hide in. Car tires, hole cut into a Freon bottle, ect. Doing it that way, you have to hand grab them.

My cousin has PVC traps on False River off of the pier. No need to grab them. He just has a rope tied off to the side wit the entrance. Has drain holes cut on the side with the cap. Just pick it up by the rope and the fish don't get out.
