I look for the TE's to be much more involved this year.
I know, I know..... I think this every year and it never happens but I really do think we have some talent there that can help a young qb and take some of the red zone load off of the WR's

We will attempt fewer than 20 passes in every game.

what comment, that he bounced around the NFL, was fired, is old?
He's 53. Made it to be an NFL head coach and the team he got fired from won a super bowl the same season. The ravens gave him a ring, you know why?, because they didnt install a new fricking offense in the middle of the year.

why do you say that?

We will run it down others team's throats, and then use play action....just like we've always done at LSU.

here are the facts know it all:
Total yards per game:
2002 16
2003 14
2004 14
2005 10
2006 4
2007 28
2008 18
2009 19
2010 22
2011 15
2012 16
For an average of 16
Which is...well average. So yeah look for more average and with young players everywhere it's going to be below average you can bet your arse.

What are those averages of? Certainly not yards/game.

doesn't really tell the whole story now does it?
defense gives an offense a short field and they short on 15 yards vs an offense going downfield 75 to score.
still a score, one just had a shorter distance.

thru 11 years of data i woudl say his offenses were average...all teams deal with short field vs long field scores man.
Posted on 8/13/14 at 3:32 pm to ElmersClockMan
the factthat he was IN the NFL for 10 years as an assistant and a head coach is in itself, incredible.
and now's he LSU's OC. We are supremely lucky to have him in baton rouge. The offense was the best it's ever been in 2013. Defense let LSU down several times.

That just tells you how much of an improvement he's made since he came to LSU.

I don't care about yards. that is misleading. what about scoring offense and efficiency?
ETA: for example, LSU had the best 3rd down coversion % in the NCAA in 2013

was 2013 "meh"?
it was fireworks chief. Cam actually coaching a college team after 11 years in the NFL is like christmas every day to fans and players alike.

I certainly won't debate LSU's offensive production last year, but good grief guys we had absolute studs at WR and QB for that matter.
Y'all are setting yourselves up for a big let down (if you are comparing LSU with BAMA, if not then we are doing great right in the middle of the top 25) which usually happens year in and year out some how some way....can't put my finger on it.
