Nope
My great grandfather killed himself after apparently being in pain for several years following kidney surgeries.
No one ever expected it. Or knew he had any guns in his house.
He complained very little about pain up until that point.

Had a Great Uncle that cancer had gotten him real bad. He got tired of the pain and chemo. Got up in the middle of the night one night in pain, told his wife he was going to step out on the back porch for some fresh air, then stepped out back and blew his damn brains out.
He was in his early 70's or late 60's. He was a Korean war and Vietnam vet. One of the toughest old birds I ever met.
