Disaster waiting to happen IMO.... If they try this shite against Chavis and this D, we will crush them. We play teams that specialize in this and crush them. Also no way they have the personell or the practice to run it like these teams, Auburn, A&M, FL, OM, even MS. They better line up and play big boy football bc you have to be able to pass the ball to run this and they will not be able to pass the ball with our secondary and our line backers. They are as fast or faster then some safety's. I really don't like to over hype LSU but if they try to run a spread? Good luck! Even if they line up and play with us good luck. LSU has lots of talent on D.

The State Journal as in the Wisconsin State Journal? Because I am finding no such article from yesterday.

Andersen has stated over and over that Wisconsin will not abandon the running game, especially when you consider who his two running backs are and what he has, or lack thereof, at wide receiver.

They need to lay off the cornbread and pick up the speed, otherwise they're going to catch a cold when our defensive line runs by.

A lot of all around poor play in both videos, especially from the secondary and QB's. Maybe they were scrimaging and practicing at 75% speed.

Considering there was no tackling and some of the throws were coming from Bart Houston and DJ Gillins (neither of which are in the competition) and some of the secondary play coming from guys like AJ Jordan, D'Cota Dixon, Terrance Floyd, Dare Ogunbowale, and Keelon Brookins (none of which will see much playing time, though Dixon is a raw talent), I would assume you're smart enough not to take anything away from these practice videos.

They're severely cut and it confuses me as to how you would be able to draw any conclusions from it.

I know a lot of Wisconsin fans and alumni. I hope we crush them. I would love a blow-out and physical beating. I predict that Wisconsin will lack the speed and the strength to offer LSU a game.

They lack imagination on offense and they lack the athletes on both sides of the ball to provide much of a contest.

There are only two big ten teams that would be competitive with LSU: Ohio State and Michigan State.

I was going to challenge you to a Internet dual but seeing as I'm to excited for football season to tolerate nonsense that it brings i'll just leave you with this...

Wisconsin is going to lose. You all are too slow and not nearly big enough in the trenches. The depth you think you have on defense is hilarious.

Good day to you sir.

Once again it is clear very few people here have ever seen a Wisconsin game. We have been using the shotgun spread as a main part of our offense since 2002 and Brooks Bollinger. Any 3rd and 5 or longer we will come out in the shotgun spread, or if we just want to get the passing game on track. We do not run out of the shotgun much but we probably use it close to 30% of the game and have done so for over a decade now.

I must say I am loving the causal dismissal you guys are throwing Wisconsin's way right now. It has been a VERY long time since we have faced a team that feels they are going to blow us out just by showing up. The last team was probably Auburn in 2006. They were ranked #7 and coming in as the hottest team in the country… until "slow, soft, unathletic" Wisconsin ran circles around them as we out gained them 548-236 on our way to an easier than the score indicated 24-10 victory. That was the last time I remember a fan base being anywhere near as flippant as you guys are being regarding UW's chances of victory. Interesting.

Also loving the critique of our 3rd and 4th stringers in a 3 minute video from spring practice. Clearly UW has no chance now, we are just sooooo sloooooooow.

Didn't FSU blow the doors off of you guys in 2008? Too much speed then.

You obviously haven't been paying attention.
Most of the people on this board think it's going to be an ugly, hard fought game.

LSU has the better defense; therefore, they have the advantage.
Personally, I'm thinking 30-17, LSU.

Thats funny because a pretty terrible Iowa team that we beat by 3 TDs at their place gave you guys all you could handle just a couple months ago. I've been watching film on LSU and I am not nearly as impressed as this board has led me to believe. Besides your fictional and meaningless recruiting rankings I have seen nothing that suggests that this will be anything other than a tough grind it out, most likely sloppy, game that either side can win. We'll see what happens in a couple weeks but I am growing more confident with every day that passes and every clip I watch on LSU. It is quite apparent that the fan base in for a shock is going to be the Tiger faithful. UW can ball and we are loaded with NFL talent. This belief that UW lacks skill is really pretty laughable and exposes many posters here lack of insight to teams outside of your own conference.

LOL breaking in a new frosh QB. If Mett had played, LSU would have won by at least 4 TD's.

I disagree with this as well. Kinda. Our defense plays very well against the spread offenses i.e. our speed on D is phenomenal.

However the pro offense we don't play as well against, so Iowa, Wisky, even Michigan State, would be a very good challenge for us.

HOWEVER, we still work that arse.

it was 21-7 in the 4th quarter with QB having a freshman qb make his first start, on the road, with a wet ball.

iowa was never really in the game.
