Semantics.

I don't expect to hit it off line when going for a green in two, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't wait for the guys who just cleared the green to pull away from a distance that is clearly within my reach.

I don't wait for thegreen to clear on par 5s. It helps my game.

If I say to myself, "you need to hit the perfect shot to actually reach, so go ahead and hit." Then I hit and end up firing into the group in front of me. I'm an arse, but I'm also on in two.

If I wait, I will hit it fat or ob.

Not sure what this has to do with Rory's shot selection on 18...
