Pulp fiction and Forrest dump should even be said in the se sentence. Go back and watch Fd it's embarrassing to watch.

OP is some kind of mouth breather. You love a shitfest in Gravity, yet find one of the top 10 films of the 90's to be meh.
Im liking you more and more

So you don't consider either Breaking Bad or Pulp Fiction as exceptional pieces of cinema?
I didn't say that

Pulp Fiction is a cinematic masterpiece that will stand the test of time. frick, it is one of the few movies that deserves it's popularity. It is beyond me that there are people that spend time on a movie message board that do not understand the value of this film.

My mom is offended by basically everything, likes Nicolas Cage movies and CBS sitcoms and she told me I had to watch PF because it was a masterpiece. I don't understand how anyone could not love it. I guess if you have very bad ADD it could be tough to really enjoy any movie that is dialogue heavy.

This is the first in my life of hearing someone didn't love Pulp Fiction.
Actually watched Django last night...don't understand how someone could not like Tarantino

I like Pulp Fiction way better than Django

Ok.
I think his story's uniqueness and transitions make them all hard to not be interesting.

Django was probably one of my two or thee favorite movies of the year and I would say it was my least favorite Tarantino flick yet. Basterds set the bar high.

The fact that you're comparing Pulp Fiction to the pinnacle of lovable retard Oscar fluff should exclude you from any serious conversation about Pulp Fiction.

Django Unchained was actually my favorite Tarantino movie, despite the film running 20 minutes too long.
This is how I would rate the films I have seen of his:
Reservoir Dogs: B-
Pulp Fiction: B
Kill Bill Vol. 1: B
Kill Bill Vol. 2: B-
Death Proof: D+
Inglourious Basterds: B+
Django Unchained: A-

It's Apples and Oranges.I love Forrest Gump.I read the book 10 yrs before the Movie(Reccomended Reading). It was the feel good movie of the decade.
Pulp Fiction, especially when it came out,was a hip, edgy, very visual movie that watched like nothing I'd seen before.
It was like they cut the movie into cards and shuffled them.
I thought it was great.jmo

Now there are two overhyped movies.

I get that someone watching it today might not realize how different it was in 94. Nothing really had ever been done like it. Tarantino wasn't a household name. John Travolta was the guy in Grease and that movie with the babies. Samuel L Jackson was the scary black guy that tried to rob Akeem in Coming To America.
It's a movie that I pick up things differently every time I watch it. And I think it holds up extremely well today.

I like it but Tarantino isn't my favorite director.
I like True Romance though. Not much else he did.

I hate ppl who say Django and inglorious are better than pulp fiction.
I mean they're the same fricking revenge movie.
The storyline just isn't as good. They've got good scenes, but their screenplays just aren't what pulp fiction is.
And my other favorite movie is sandlot, to person who said Tarentino ppl just love his movies to look smart.
