Wowwww, it's on Netflix already? I saw that it's being added today.
Times are rough.

I would hope so bc the bible story is short, simple, and would not be sufficient for an interesting movie

True, but nearly everything in the movie is taken from the Bible and simply expounded upon. There are some points in the film that are clearly not in the Bible, but frankly, that's a good thing. The story is about the characters and family, not about staying true to a Biblical retelling of a flood in ancient Mesopotamia.

Darren Aronofsky is one of the best working filmmakers there is right now. This was not among his best work.

Genesis 6:4 - There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown
ETA: Essentially, I think this could be pretty easily interpreted as the Bible saying there were demi-gods at some point, or, perhaps more in keeping with the Bible's other themes, half-angels. I cannot understand why there would be sons of God and then daughters of men otherwise. If they are of two different origins, one of God, one of men, how else could that be interpreted? Perhaps God made more Adams...? Weird verse, regardless.

It's interpreted as giants, hence Goliath. Not rock people.
7'4 would be a giant when average height was about 5'6.

Goliath was after the Flood. Plus, it said giants in the earth, which could very easily be interpreted as rock giants. And to me, Goliath would be more akin to the children that were born unto the sons of God and daughters of men, which are seemingly separate and apart from the giants in the earth. But again, those came before the Flood.

Pretty sure that by "giants" they meant CGI rock people and Noah being a "righteous man" meant that he was a raving, overacting lunatic.

It's obviously just a very loose interpretation.

Noah going psycho-killer near the end didn't really do it for me, but I understand their reasons from a movie perspective.
