I have a dog and luckily he can swim (part lab). I love him, but I'm not willing to die for him. Hell I'm not willing to even go into debt for him if he had a condition or issue that would cost thousands of dollars to fix. In the end, he is just a dog.

and this is where you and I differ on this subject.

And I'm fine with that. Your dog, your choice. To each his own. I, however, do not believe its just a dog, so my choices would be different.

Yeah, we are so far off on this matter that I don't think it would be constructive to keep discussing.
