Just for the sake of being fairly complete, I'll add Brent Rawls to the list. He was a Parade All American at Evangel in 2002. Singed w/ Oklahoma, had off field problems and ended up transferring to La Tech in '03. Never played a down at Tech. He later ended up w/ the S'port/Bossier "Battle Wings" Arena league football team.

Since other non-Shreveport boys have been listed, when it came to pure QB ability - I doubt many were any more blessed than Bob Lane. Coming out of Neville in 1977, he was rated as the:
- #3 QB in the country
- #4 safety in the country
- #4 shortstop in the country
He signed with LSU, but quickly suffered a serious knee injury. He suffered a 2nd one soon thereafter. Transferred to NLU (now ULM) - but never started a single game in college.
But despite this (and the fact he had lost most of his mobility), he was somehow still drafted in the 5th round of the NFL draft. He ended up being a starter for a couple of years in the USFL.
Amazing athlete.
