As long as he's not directing. Spider-Man sucks.

Initially Druckmann wanted the film to have a different ending, but Raimi convinced the writer otherwise.

this wouldve pissed me off so badly. if anything, the last act should be the exact same script as the game's.

im not sure i can see Maisie playing Ellie... All i know is that josh brolin needs to play joel

I wish there were many roles he could play. He's perfect for so many roles.

I'd say he did fine with the first two Spiderman films. And he's obviously has a solid foundation with horror. Plus Naughty Dog has final approval of both the film and the director.

Maisie Williams would be fine as Ellie, I'm sure, but I think I'd prefer Elle Fanning.

As far as Joel goes? I guess it depends on how close they want the look to be to video game Joel.

yeah, people love to bash raimi bc spiderman 3. they act as if everything else he made was shite. he has a solid resumé

the thing that im most excited about (and what gives me the most hope) is that Druckmann is writing

Elle Fanning is not in game of thrones.

She's actually very capable of changing her voice up for different roles. I think she's the best young actress around, too. Maybe a little tall for Ellie, but that's an easy problem to overcome with the camera.

Evil Dead 2 is one of my favorite movies. Drag me to Hell was really good. I always thought he was a horror comedy genius.

As far as story goes, it's going to be incredibly difficult to satisfy people who enjoyed the game. Over 15 hours of gameplay, the majority of which was story, can't fit into a 120 minute film.

Visually? It'll be amazing, I'm sure, barring a Baz Luhrmann directing.

Maisie is the only actress Raimi has reportedly spoken to.

I'm not a huge fan of Hugh Jackman, but this could be a role for him.

I don't think so. Just get the cast right and get some aspects correct. I can forgive a lot.

For sure. As long as they can capture the tension of the gameplay and the emotion of the story, as well as get good performances out of the cast, I'll be happy. Ending cant change though

Gerard Butler has that edge to him that would work.

She doesn't look exactly like her but I think Chloe Grace Moretz is probably one of the better young actresses out there and would work. I thought she might be too old but apparently she's actually younger than Maisie Williams.
