Uh, they are generally always the cheapest out of NOLA. And if not Southwest, then jetblue or Frontier.

Find me a site where Delta, United etc are consistenly offering cheaper fares out of NOLA than Southwest.

They seem to always be at least 1/3 more.

His own article says they are the cheapest if you check a bag. And even if you dont check a bag it is still cheaper 40% of the time. That is pretty solid

I am flying to NOLA right now on Delta. I paid $290 for my ticket. I think SW was $275 with crappier times.

I'll fork over the extra $15 to fly Delta EVERYTIME

My non-stop MSY-ATL two weeks ago was $119 on Delta. $197 on Southwest/AirTran.

They had a major advantage when they were able to hedge fuel at 20-30% cheaper. Now they are in the same bind as the other legacy carriers.
