Isn't that what White Christians tried to do to them just 70 years ago?

It has peace treaties with two of its neighbors and Syria is a basket case, they aren't wiping out anyone but themselves. Israel basically has the Golan for as long as they want it.
You're right. That's why it's important Israel keeps its sovereignty and security. Otherwise the Arabs will wipe them from the face of the earth.

Israel wants the Arab media perspective to shut up and go away. Noted fascist zionist Avigdor Lieberman, Foreign Minister, wants to shut down Al Jazeera operations in Israel, considering them an arm of 'terrorism'. You think the motivation was the disclosure of phosphorus bombs dropped on Gaza?
It's no coincidence that IDF aircraft hit Al Jazeera offices in Gaza yesterday as a warning shot to 'shut up you Arabs!'
For those unfamiliar with Israeli targeting practices - all cabinet ministers discuss war plans, whom to target, the symbolic purpose, who will live, who will die. I'm sure Lieberman lobbied for this one hit on the Al Jazeera office and the rest of the ministers agreed.

Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has said that Israel will work to prevent Al Jazeera TV from operating in Israel.
"Qatar ( the Gulf state where Al Jazeera is based) has turned into a global problem. Al Jazeera is a central pillar of the propaganda apparatus of Hamas," he said.
The news network employs several Israeli journalists. Freedom of the press is enshrined in Israeli law and, according to Anshel Pfeffer, a writer for the liberal daily Haaretz, only the Supreme Court could ban their reports.
Haaretz' diplomatic correspondent Barak Ravid revealed the foreign minister's comments in which he said that, just as Britain would not allow Der Sturmer (a notorious Nazi publication) in London or the United States would not permit al-Qaeda TV, Israel would seek to ban Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera Arabic had earlier reported that Israel had been using phosphorus bombs in east Gaza, which it had pledged to stop using last year.
The company is also funded by Qatari owners, who Israel believe to be financing Hamas.

BEIRUT: The offices of Al-Jazeera in Gaza came under Israeli attack Tuesday, according to a reporter from the station, who said the attack came from either shelling or a helicopter gunship.
Al-Jazeera reporter Wael Dahdouh said that the channel’s office was evacuated after being attacked by what he described as intentional, heavy Israeli gunfire.
The Israeli army confirmed the attack, according to Al-Jazeera, calling it “warning gunfire.”
Dahdouh denied that they were warning shots, saying that the glass of their 11th floor office was shattered, while an American news agency next door was untouched.
The attack came after Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Leiberman called for the cessation of the Al-Jazeera coverage in Israel, due to the support that its owner, the state of Qatar, has provided for “terrorism.”

Let the other Arab nations make room for the Palestinians. Funny how no other Arabs take these poor buggers in. They force them to live next to the "enemy". Sounds like the other Arabs are using the Palestinians as pawns.
Exactly right. That's been a, if not the, pillar of the jihad.

that's one of the many myths of the middle east, that other Arab nations don't take Palestinians. Jordan has lots of refugees as does Lebanon, Qatar and Dubai.
It's a very commonly repeated myth on the internet and debates for years but isn't reality.

Is it true the Palestinian Gov't has a mission statement of destroying Israel? If so, why would anyone think there will ever be peace between the two? Maybe that is a starting point - they should remove the declaration of war from their "constitution". If Mexico had this against the US - California and Texas would already be much larger states.

i don't know if that has been removed from their charter or not, but that was a big deal about 15 years ago when Arafat was negotiating. Maybe there's your memory trigger.
Abbas and the PA have accepted Israel and the 2 state solution. Shin Bet, the Israeli secret police, have been training PA police for a few years now.
So, if the point is that the PLO/PA are still hostile to Israel, that is a thing of the past.

You can't just wave your hand and say "it's no big deal for these millions of people to leave the place they've lived for generations, because this other faraway country has people of similar ethnicity."

Dummy, the bombs aren't hitting children. The children are standing in the way of the bombs. Essentially its the kids who are hitting the bombs. Stupid muslim kids... When will they learn and stop standing and sitting under where bombs fall?

Honest answer, the U.S. doesn't even hold Israel accountable when they kill our guys. U.S.S Liberty, for example.
Israel runs this country's middle eastern foreign policy via AIPAC and our whore politicians.

I wasn't referring to the PLO/PA but to the Hamas portion of the gov't. You do know Hamas is an officially recognized gov't of Palestine voted by the people. I looked up their charter. No hope for peace until they are out the picture.

quote:Man, this article from December of 2013 really hits the nail on the head. Abu Mazen can't make promises for both Fatah and Hamas. If only there were some sort of unified Palestinian government....
The American initiative ignores the fundamental situation in the Palestinian arena, and the basic fact that the Palestinian leadership in Ramallah headed by Mahmoud Abbas does not enjoy the status that would allow it to make historic decisions in the name of the Palestinian people, and certainly not decisions that are not in line with the Palestinian consensus, which supports “the return of Jerusalem to Arab and Islamic rule” and the “right of return.”

During the past nine months of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, attorney Isaac Molho, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s personal envoy to the talks, complained repeatedly that the PA does not represent the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip and that Israel had no assurance the PA would be able to impose a future peace deal on Hamas, Erekat said in an interview with Radio Ashams in Nazareth.
“Molho held this issue as a sword and laid it on our necks: What will you do with Gaza, and how will you deal with Gaza?” Erekat said.
“And now they’re attacking us for turning our faces toward Palestinian national unity,” Erekat said in the interview. “Israel has forgotten that it reached agreements and understandings with Hamas under the auspices of Sheikh Morsi, yet it attacks us for implementing the reconciliation agreements.”

I'm aware of the "unified" gov't. But what does "unified" mean? Is it this -
[i]Hamas' charter calls for the destruction of the State of Israel and its replacement with a Palestinian Islamic state from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean See.
Hamas intentions of destruction of the State of Israel can be found in its own publications and videos. To see more on this subject go to: LINK ]
Or is it this...
PLO Charter

The latter - there is hope. The former there is no hope. I'm not saying Israel is blameless - but until Hamas is out - there will be no peace.

quote:Wow, their charter completely denies Israel and want to replace it with a single state from the Jordan to the sea? This is unprecedented and clearly means there will be no peace. Good thing Israel has no such intractable factions in their government.

a. The right of the Jewish people to the land of Israel is eternal and indisputable and is linked with the right to security and peace; therefore, Judea and Samaria will not be handed to any foreign administration; between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty.
b. A plan which relinquishes parts of western Eretz Israel, undermines our right to the country, unavoidably leads to the establishment of a "Palestinian State," jeopardizes the security of the Jewish population, endangers the existence of the State of Israel. and frustrates any prospect of peace.

The who Arab world needs to ne subjugated until they turn over the terrorist they wilfully harbor.

Haaretz has an article titled, "The world is sick of Israel and its insanities" by Gideon Levy. It's a premium article from last month but here's another site where one can read the article:

I realize this from an Israeli news journalist and I think Mr. Levy (writer) makes some valid points. However, I do believe most of the world does care about what's going on. But I think it's just tired of all the Israeli focused media attention and the almost continuous hate/fighting coming from all sides involved.
