Before Lance Armstrong, there was Greg LeMond, who is now the first and only American to win the Tour de France. In this engrossing documentary, LeMond looks back at the pivotal 1986 Tour, and his increasingly vicious rivalry with friend, teammate, and mentor Bernard Hinault. The reigning Tour champion and brutal competitor known as “The Badger,” Hinault ‘promised’ to help LeMond to his first victory, in return for LeMond supporting him in the previous year. But in a sport that purports to reward teamwork, it’s really every man for himself. An ESPN Films Production.

Anyone see this tonight?

How was it?

Was very good. His French teammate really tried to screw him over. I used to dislike Greg for calling Lance a cheat. He was right all along.

It was good. Not one of the best 30 for 30's but still solid.

Hinault and the team coach are a bunch of bitches.

I can't stand how we pick and choose...as if Ben Johnson was the only one on drugs at the 1988 Olympics.

As if all the other riders in the all of Lance's Tour's were clean.

As if we even know about the 80's and LeMond and everyone else...when blood doping testing was piss poor.

From the NCAA to the Pros - this supposed "stripping of titles" is about as uniform and clear, fair and non-arbitrary as the War on Drugs.
