Do we really have a need for a JUCO CB?

And hey, if we keep him from Ole Miss. Even better.

I didn't think so, but if he's good enough...

Not particularly but if he's good enough to get on the field in 2015 you damn well better believe he'll get an offer. With as many spread offenses hitting the SEC finding 3rd and 4th CBs are as important as ever. Yes we will have an embarrassment of riches at CB in 2015 between White, Robinson and Tolliver...but if one of them happened to get hurt it doesnt kill us to have a talented guy that can step right in like Martin. I am assuming Jalen Collins declares for the draft after this season.

You're looking at losing your two starting CBs after next year. Very well could have a need depending on how those behind them play and stay healthy.

I think you are also takinga look at a kid who may play for Ole Miss. Seems they are the team to beat. Is it worth risking losing him to Ole Miss?
We'll find out if he gets offered.

Just my opinion but what other schools he's looking at has no impact on his recruitment with us. We are looking at him solely as a guy that can or cannot play on our defense for 2 years. We do not give out scholarships to JUCO players especially to let them ride the pine.

BEAST. We need to offer him this weekend.

assuming he has 3 to play 3, after next year we lose white, robinson and collins. That leaves us with paris, thomas and gage as the only CBs.
Toliver is a no brainer to play and play a lot as a freshman and paris should be ready by then but outisde of those 2 we're thin so the depth is needed. I don't ever see thomas as an outise guy, similar to ron brooks.

His film is VERY VERY underrated. his feet are so fast and he covers a ton of ground. I would take him..

Martin enrolled early in junior college for the spring of 2014 in an effort to qualify as a 2015 recruit with three years of eligibility remaining.

The kid is 6-3 and has D-1 track speed.

Seems an offer has to be first given and accepted before we question this.
6 3 and fast and OM likes him? Maybe thats worth an invite or worth questioning this staff. You decide.
I quit questioning LSU recruiting, the day i made an idiot of myself when they offered Tyrann Mathieu. We couldnt run the ball on anyone and we needed OL in my mind not "another DB" especially one 5 8 a buck 70.

Right now, I don't get the need unless he is too good to pass up.
In 2015 we'll have White, Robinson, Paris, Gage, Toliver, Thomas, Lewis plus at least one of Jackson and Raymond.
I'm pretty sure 8-9 corners are good. Then in 2016 we'll still have Paris, Toliver, Gage, Lewis, possibly Thomas, plus Jackson and/or Raymond and the 3-4 we pick up in 2016's loaded class.
