I disagree. They started off slow and fell way behind early but by the second half they had our defense figured out. They just ran out of time. If the game had been five quarters I think they would have won.

If the game was 3 quarters we wouldn't be having this argument. We won, they had several games that could have gone either way, LSU wasn't one of those.

We got ahead and let up but still kept it out of reach for them. We still won. We were the only team to do it during the season too.

Auburn could've have easily lost 4 games last season. Don't misunderstand me, they improved dramatically but let's be honest now.

They had things go their way. The fortuitous bounce in the UGA game, Saban whining for that extra second to be put back on the clock in the Iron Bowl, just a couple examples.

Both teams played in the rain and we played better. I will say I'm glad Tre Mason is gone. That guy is really good. He got on my nerves.

Contain Marshall and you've won half the battle right there. And Marshall is decent but he's no Manziel, as far as scrambling goes.

That couldn't be more irrelevant.

true, also if the game had been played in the Bahamas they likely would have won as well, or if LSU would have been forced to play the second half wearing work boots...

This is the mantra of the Negatiger. We win by 14, fumbled inside their 15 yard line, tried a fake field goal (unsuccessful) inside their 20 yard line and this poster says Auburn would have beaten us. LSU and Auburn could have played 8 quarters that night and Auburn would have lost by 28 points. We owned them. Hill was unstoppable. We were toying with them all night. After that game, Auburn got better, but they were 3 plays away from a 4 loss season. You have to get the bounces of the football to get to the BCS game. Auburn did that last year, but their defense is horrible.

When we get the bounces, it is called luck. If other teams get the bounces, our fans say they were playing better.

I just never understand the Negatiger.

If, if, if. Get over it. We were the only team to beat and DOMINATE Auburn last year. Rain, dew or sunshine we handed them their rear ends.

As others have posted they were a few plays away from having a mediocre season. They almost lost the SEC Championship as well. Good year for them but LSU won that game period.

If LSU makes one more first down in Tiger Stadium against Bama in 2012 we beat them and who knows where we end up. Bottom line is we didn't and that's that.

Auburn is the sexy pick right now but the same thing happened with Chizik and where is he today?

Give LSU the credit our players and coaches deserve
