Went to the Crew-SKC game. Wil Trapp was sent off for a second yellow in the 89th minute before Benny's goal. Never saw a replay but live it looked like a very questionable card. No way SKC wins without it (and who knows, they might have even lost since they were already down to 10 men).
Regardless, as an ND grad (and American, of course), it was exciting for me to get to watch Besler in person. It looked like he had much more freedom to basically do whatever he wanted/go wherever he wanted on the field than in the World Cup. He still made sure to take care of things defensively, but it definitely seemed like he would take more chances and push up and get himself involved in the offensive side of things a little, because he knew he could recover. It kind of looked like he thought of himself as a CDM out there offensively, but still knew he was/was able to be a central defender when his team didn't have the ball. It was pretty fascinating to watch. Guess it makes sense though when you go from playing Germany to playing the Crew.

How is Keane not an all-star? Guy is the best player on the field every game I watch.

It was about 1,000,000 times less questionable than Collin's red. It was an absolute joke and will probably be taken away before too long.
