Trading away present assets for future assets like Philly did is not taking. Tanking is what Golden State did when they tried to keep the pick they had traded to Utah a few years ago. Tanking is a bad Charlotte team and a bad New Orleans team sitting "injured" starters to win the Anthony Davis sweepstakes.

They actually tanked the "right" way by trading away talent for space and potential. Other teams tank by holding out "injured" players and employing lineups and rotations to get "experience" instead of wins.
