Marcus Mariota in 2012. Took Oregon to a 12-1 record in his first year as a starter and finished 6th nationally in QBR.

Hey I hope AJ or BH turn into one of those guys, and either way, i'm looking forward to seeing how they perform.

But i think if you would go back 10 years in the SEC, most FR QBs were average at best. And average i would take.

Light years void between a true freshman and redshirt freshman. That year of training makes all the difference in the world.

uh, Winston struggled against Auburns vaunted defense (sarcasm). And that was after a year of playing.

LSUs QBs will see tougher defenses week in and week out. Not just one time a year.
