I think some of it's a generational thing. Younger people don't watch TV the way I do & I don't like binge watching.

I've bought a few seasons of programs that I like, but I haven't finished them. Just stopped watching Deadwood even though I love hearing people call each other cock suckers. Had Netflix for two years & never watched anything but movies & documentaries.

Would rather view an old program by catching it in syndication. That's how I saw Cheers, Friends, Fraiser, etc.

Breaking Bad & Justified are the only two shows I have watched week-to-week in the last five years.

You are saying it is generational yet you watch almost no tv the way you used to.

I grew up on 4 tv channels. I love marathoning shows.

Over the last 5 years, the only shows I've watched week to week were: "Game of Thrones" (often had to marathon because my parents have HBO, but I don't), Friday Night Lights (ended), Chuck (ended and missed the last season), Psych (missed half of the last season), Community (had to marathon almost all of the last season because I could never catch it live), Outsourced (ended), Face/Off, and Saturday Night Live (often opt to skip it).
